Attention to hydraulic door closers

and other hardware items

A fire door will only perform as intended if it remains in the closed position and it is essential to have an automatic closing device in order to ensure this.

Typically a neat hydraulic cylinder is fixed to the top edge of the door leaf or frame, with arms between the two that provide the leverage to activate the hydraulic operation. These cylinders are generally trouble free but they need to be correctly fitted and of a compatible size in relation to the weight and width of the door leaf. Correct adjustment of the closer device is also essential to ensure that latching takes place in the intended manner.

Trained DTC specialists are fully familiar with these items and their proper operational settings.
